Monday Morning

It's a beautiful sunny morning here today in Melbourne.

After a super long weekend, ANZAC Day last Thursday, then Friday was a Curriculum Day at the children's school, then of course the weekend, I feel like I can finally sit and catch my breath today.

After drop off I took off to my new Pilates class, it's time to work on my health, my back, my strength and my fitness, then home to do some photo editing and eat breakfast. I've decided to take better care of myself, with my third and final child starting school this year it's time to focus on me, not an uncommon thig I know at my life stage. Diet, fitness, mental health, goals and career are all coming into focus and I want to be the best I can be.

One thing I have grown to love lately is brunch. It's a new obsession. So as such I'm going to share one brunch with you a week .. here is my usual morning meal when I am home. So so yummy. Cereal (usually Be Natural) Blueberries, Yoghurt, Chia seeds and milk. Mmmmmmmmmm.

What do you like to make yourself for breakfast when you have the time?

  1. Fabulous you are looking after yourself.
If I have muesli I have it with almond milk and maybe a dollop of Jaalna vanilla yoghurt. Berries are a nice touch! Would love to have brunch and I'm busting to try out Proud Marys sometime x

Always up for a new cafe I think the staff at my two favourites are sick of my face!

  2. Yum Jo. My favourites are a smoothie - banana and passionfruit, or blueberries, with natural yoghurt and maybe some rolled oats thrown in. I've started making them with almond milk and that seems to be more sustaining, probably because of the higher fat content than skim milk. I also like muesli (home-made with rolled oats, bran, seeds, coconut, cranberries and almonds) and natural yoghurt with grated apple.

  3. Oh Jodi sounds amazing! That's both replies to this that have mentioned almond milk, I'm going to hunt some down.
